Our program is coming together well. On Day 1 we will hold a Digital Inclusion Forum on Day 1 with a focus on remote and on Days 2 & 3 we have a lineup of keynotes, plenary sessions, panel forums and workshops, plus facilitated discussion groups and breakout sessions with a particular focus on the Calls for Action. The multimedia journalism training under the News Initiative Project comes to an end this month. Our trainee journalists are completing their assignments.

Over the past four years we trained about 40 people in media journalism. A number have gone on with jobs in the media and related industries.

We built excellent relationships with various training and media organisations including Batchelor Institute, the Community Broadcasting Training Organisation, National Radio News and the ABC.

We are now turning our attention to training in leadership and middle management roles and are currently seeking funding to set up pilot projects in these training spaces. We will let everyone know when this training comes available.
