We are super pumped to bring you our next release FIRST SOUNDS VOL.2.
Featuring 12 selected artists from Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth to the Torres Strait Islands, Yuendumu to Yirrkala in East Arnhem Land. VOL.2 is a sonic buffet of First Nations music ranging from traditional to modern hip hop, alternative roots, acoustic and contemporary pop. This compilation represents First Peoples contributions to the musical landscape spanning 65,000 years to now.

Nyapillilingu; Spirit Lady is the opening track on VOL.2, fusing traditional song of our ancient heritage with electronic and classical sound worlds. Rrawun Maymuru comes from a long line of Yolngu songmen from Yirrkala, a remote community in North East Arnhem Land.

VOL.2 is a continuation of the partnership between Community Broadcasting Association of Australia and First Nations Media Australia, delivering more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music to community radio. VOL.2 will be distributed to over 200 community radio stations on CD and is digitally accessible via Amrap and indigiTUBE platforms.
