CMTO, 3KND and FNMA have partnered to offer an exciting training opportunity for First Nations broadcasters to get the skills to start a career in the Creative Industries, using 3KND as the hub.

The Certificate III in Screen and Media is a hands-on course for workers and volunteers in community radio who want to upskill. Learners will explore working in the creative industries, planning, and presenting a radio program, researching, writing and editing content for broadcast and developing a social media presence.

The course is open to volunteers and staff from First Nations stations across Australia and will take around 12 months to complete and take effect in late August 2023. Classes will be run online, but there will be face-to-face workshops during the course.

The course is subsidised by the Community Broadcasting Foundation, which means no fees for participants!
