EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Multi-media news storytelling training
The FNMA News Initiative is calling for Expressions of Interest in training FN people to become multi-media journalists, this competency-based training includes practical and theoretical training in news, photography, audio and video production techniques.

Over a 6 month period, there will be an online one hour weekly Master Class session conducted by professionals in their field: photography, photojournalism, and news gathering techniques (research, sourcing, interviewing, media law, editorial).

Trainees will also attend a 5-day training session in audio and video production techniques at Batchelor Institute.
Trainees will be expected to submit weekly assignments for assessment in order to receive a Certificate of Attainment for the relevant Units of Competency.

Once the training is completed, Reporters will be expected to produce regular news and current affairs reports, which will be featured on indigiTUBE and social media.

Deadline for Expressions of Interest will close on March 8, 2024.

InDigiMOB with Mob on Country
The inDigiMOB team have been busy connecting with communities within South Australia.Throughout February, inDigiMOB delivered digital skills workshops at Meningie and Port Augusta with a focus on recording stories and online safety. Both workshops were well received by participants and at the communities request, the team will return at a later date to deliver follow up workshops.InDigiMOB have also engaged with residents of the Raukkan and Point Pearce communities and as a result, the team are currently in the planning stages of returning to deliver digital skills workshops based on community need. Whilst inDigiMOB continues working with and for mob towards improving digital skills and bridging the digital divide, we are always looking for more communities to support across SA, NT & WA. indigTUBE Partnered with Songlines
Share the Spirit" Concert from the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Survival/Invasion day this year. Share the Spirit, presented by Songlines Aboriginal Music, returned for another year Victoria's largest and longest running Indigenous festival. This event provides a moment of togetherness as we share this time to respect the survival of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

The community-based festival is an important gathering for local and regional communities but welcomes all to join in respect of the survival of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Legendary acts who performed included Coloured Stone, No Fixed Address & Blackfire with performances from contemporary artists, David Arden, Kutcha Edwards, Stray Blacks, Robbie Bundle, Yambra, Richard Frankland, Brian Morley, Yung Warriors and Deans of Soul.
