Throughout April and May, the inDigiMOB team visited and delivered digital skills workshops to community within Point Pearce (SA), Port Augusta (SA), Nturiya (NT) and Wilora (NT). Providing awareness and sharing of information on important topics to support individuals and communities around digital skills, the team discussed relevant matters raised by community including staying safe online, digital footprint, social media privacy and scams.
inDigiMOB have also commenced travel to Western Australia to deliver round two of engagements under Telstra’s Community Services Program within Broome, Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing. The team will provide further information and education on various digital skills topics and Telstra products that were identified by community throughout the first year of engagements. Due to the closing of the 3G network around Australia, customers within these areas that have been identified by Telstra will also have their sim cards swapped by the inDigiMOB team to ensure that they aren’t disadvantaged when the 3G network has been switched off on 31 August 2024.
