We learn from flood stories
On Thursday 8th June indigiTUBE partnered with The Living Lab Northern Rivers, Southern Cross University Lismore NSW to live stream "Ngalli-ngaa buubaan butherun (We learn from flood stories) a talk with Bundjalung man Oli Costello. Oli Shares his First Nations knowledge and practice in caring for Country through regenerative cultural practices that support preparedness, recovery and resilience.

ABC Secondment
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander media organisations were invited to apply for an ABC staff member to be seconded to their organisation, to assist the organisation with a specific project/ program.  The secondment program is designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander media organisations, to deepen ABC relationships with Indigenous communities, and build ABC staff cultural awareness. 6 Indigenous media organisations applied to host an ABC secondee. Over 35 ABC staff applied to do the secondments Triple J’s special projects producer Celline Narinli was the successful ABC application for the IndigiTUBE placement. She will spend two weeks with IndigiTUBE, which will hopefully build future collaborations between ABC music networks and IndigiTUBE.

Bumma Bippera Media 98.7FM is the first and only Indigenous radio service in Cairns. Our state-of-the-art studios are located right in the heart of Cairns at 1/143 Buchan Street

BBM 98.7 FM is heard in the Cairns and surrounding areas. BBM 98.7FM has the potential to reach more than 150,000 listeners daily.

BBM can be heard in Gordonvale, West to Kuranda, Atherton and Mareeba, north to Port Douglas and Mossman, east to Yarrabah via streaming, social media and program sharing.

Our radio service also extends nationally, Monday to Friday via our Talk Back program “TALK BLACK” and also a number of other programs through the National Indigenous radio service and Globally via our online audio stream.

Our aim is to be the best Community Radio Station in Cairns and to involve a broad cross section of our community in delivering the service. We are proud of the fact we have volunteers, staff and members who are both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
