FIRST NATIONS ARTISTS MAKING TRACKS
Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) and First Nations Media Australia are stoked to announce FIRST SOUNDS! The new initiative is all about getting new and emerging First Nations artists heard on radio through a series of music compilations curated by indigiTUBE and a panel of eminent First Nations individuals in our music industry.
The CBAA's Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (Amrap) will produce and distribute these compilations to over 250 community radio stations and broadcasters on CD and online. Artists will also feature on the Amrap website and on indigiTUBE. FIRST SOUNDS will kick off with the release of the first CD Compilation in February 2020!

BUSBY MAROU RELEASE 'NABA NOREM'
NABA NOREM means let’s go to the reef in the Torres Strait Meriam Mer language. Last June Busby Marou flew to Torres Strait Islands to record this special song with the locals. It features on the band’s new album The Great Divide which debuted at No.5 on the ARIA chart last month. The clip beautifully captures culture and place.
The Great Divide is a powerful chapter of the story of two men (Tom Busby and Jeremy Marou), from two different worlds, on the same journey. It's the wisdom of love, heartbreak, and grief. It's the education by mistakes. It's the knowledge of truth. It's the appreciation of the journey. It's the respect of culture.
Jeremy Marou has been appointed as a Climate Change consultation facilitator for the QLD State Government’s recently implemented Decarbonisation Project. "I’ve seen it in real life and reckon that anyone who questions that Climate Change is real must be delusional. The situation is pretty dire. The rising sea levels on the Island is evident and seeing it first hand is heart breaking. I learned the Island is a part of the people and the people are one with the Island... watching the Island wash away is like watching the people wash away" says Jeremy Marou.

ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS CALL
A story about men, bromances and brothers. This new Blues driven track from Benny Walker hits the ground running with a deep groove right from the moment Danny McKenna plays the intro drum fill. His signature feel is perfectly complimented by the ever-moving lines of Walker's long time bass player, Anthony Liddell. All Ya Gotta Do Is Call one hell of a blues banga.
